It seems that SCORM's days are numbered, due to factors of two types:
Technology: how to offer architecture as Service Content avoiding the problem of cross-domain, or the fact that the RTE is based on Javascript)
Pedagogical: new contents such as serious games have problems with SCORM.
The SCORM 2004 standard has not spread and SCORM 1.2 does not respond to progress in complexity of content and new forms of assessment of student activity (as might be the social SCORM).
The question that we all are asking is: what standard will we use now?
Tin Can API seems to be the answer ¿Qué es Tin Can API?
Is an e-learning software specification that allows learning content and learning systems to speak to each other in a manner that records and tracks all types of learning experiences.
What does it have in common with SCORM?
